Research interest: I am interested in uncovering the molecular mechanisms that regulate seedling development both in darkness and during the transition from dark to light. I work to understand how plastids—organelles vital for photosynthesis and other essential functions—communicate with the nucleus to coordinate early developmental processes such as skotomorphogenesis in Arabidopsis thaliana.
