Innovation in the Regions

How can we increase the competitiveness of French industry and promote growth and employment ?

By networking companies with public research organizations and universities, competitiveness clusters act as real boosters of innovation potential with one objective: to increase the competitiveness of French industry while promoting growth and employment in the host region.

Competitiveness clusters are associative structures accredited by an interministerial committee. They bring together companies of all sizes, training institutions and research laboratories in a given territory and technological or sectoral field. The common objective of all the members of the structure is to create an environment favorable to the emergence of innovative products, processes and services, enriching the local economic fabric.

In the South PACA region, 8 competitiveness clusters have been accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, for the period 2019-2022, some clusters merging with those of other regions.
