The Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis has accompanied
the development of the Cadarache cluster since its creation

Created on the initiative of the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and combining research and development, the Cadarache cluster represents real added value for the metropolitan area in terms of attractiveness and competitiveness.

This is why the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis has supported all the projects that have been developed since its creation (ITER, the Cité des Énergies, En’Durance Energies, …) :

– Through direct subsidies to projects (75 million euros for ITER, more than 7 million euros for the Cité des Énergies between 2011 and 2021…)

– By working to improve the accessibility of the site and the conditions of reception of the companies. The extension of business parks dedicated to industry in La Roque d’Anthéron, Pertuis and Peyrolles-en-Provence are part of this dynamic.

In order to participate in the continued development of the Cadarache cluster, the Metropolis, together with the CEA, aims to continue the development of En’Durance Energies. The aim is to host research and development partner companies, demonstrators and collaborative platforms on a site of almost 15 hectares. The aim is to promote technology transfer to the business world. The estimated completion date for the two phases of work is 2024.
